Styrene-Fact Sheet

Syrene is a a clear liquid that evaporates very quickly. It is used to create polymers in which to make plastics, these plastics can serve a shoes,  cups, car parts, and actions figures. These plastics serve a variety of uses and have a high demand on the marker. It is a natural material found within the environment. Although it is found naturally within some plants and food it is manufactured
due to the low amounts of harvestable styrene within the environment.
It is an organic compound with the formula C6H5CH=CH2, It is manufactured  through the dehydration of ethylbenzene. Ethylbenzene is found naturally within coal tar and petroleum. In general styrene is not to bad for health and the environment but too much can cause some serious problems. The production of styrene is going up and always bas been since the first use of its polymers.
It serves many uses and is all around us, below is a chart showing some of these purposes of the polymers created from styrene.
